World Food Tour 2018: South Africa


Join us on our World Food Tour 2018- Each week a new country and different menu! Call us in the Kitchen (252) 222-0273 To reserve a meal.  Please specify what day and how many dinners you would like. Each Dinner feeds 2-3 adults.  Dinners are $30. . Heating instructions will be included in every meal.

  • Pick up will be Tuesday-Thursday from 12 - 6pm.
  • Please call as early as possible for any cancellations.
  • Deadline to order the this date on the World Food Tour is Monday, March 5th by 6pm.

Chakalaka

A refreshing spicy tomato bean relish that will provoke your taste buds. Diced onion, garlic, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, beans and spices.

Bobotie

South Africa's national dish! Bobotie, is a meat pie of coarsely ground beef with plenty of curry, bay leaves, covered with a custard of milk and eggs, as homey and much loved as meatloaf is in the United States. 

7 Color Rice

Basmati rice sauteed with onion, peppers, smoked bacon, mild curry, thyme, and garlic.

Malva Pudding

Malva pudding is a sweet pudding of South African origin. It contains apricot jam, orange zest, vanilla and has a spongy caramelized texture. A cream sauce is often poured over it while it is hot, and it is usually served hot with ice-cream.
